Wind
India’s wind energy sector has shown consistent progress. The expansion of the wind industry has stemmed in a strong ecosystem, project operation capabilities and indigenous manufacturing base. The country currently has the fourth highest wind installed capacity in the world with total installed capacity of 39.25 GW (as on 31st March 2021) and has generated around 60.149 Billion Units during 2020-21.

70 MW Wind, Gujarat
Gujarat is one of the leading States to promote renewable energy. Its total installed capacity is ~19.4 GW as on June 2020 out of which wind energy accounts for ~9.4 GW.
Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited(GUVNL) has recently conducted a 500 MW Wind Bid – Phase 3. In this bid, Juniper Green Energy private limited had participated for a capacity of 40MW. The reverse auction was held on 15 July 2022.
Juniper has won its first in this bid. It may opt for an additional capacity 30MW under the Greenshoe Option
