Wind
India’s wind energy sector has shown consistent progress. The expansion of the wind industry has stemmed in a strong ecosystem, project operation capabilities and indigenous manufacturing base. The country currently has the fourth highest wind installed capacity in the world with total installed capacity of 39.25 GW (as on 31st March 2021) and has generated around 60.149 Billion Units during 2020-21.
Under-Construction Project
70 MW Wind Power Project
Gujarat is having a significant potential of renewable energy resource especially wind and Solar due to its topography and is one of the leading States to implement renewable energy projects. Its total installed capacity of renewable energy projects of ~19.4 GW as on June 2020 out of which wind energy accounts for ~9.4 GW.
Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has issued a 500MW Wind-Phase III Bid in the May 2022.
